Saju Pillars

사주팔자 · four pillars · eight characters

Your birth moment,
written in eight characters.

Korean saju reads a birth date and hour as four pillars of two characters each, then weighs their five elements. This page draws your chart free, in your browser, and shows how this year's pillar meets it. A reading or a compatibility read is one click further - each line pinned to a part of your chart.

一 Birth details

Solar (Gregorian) or lunar (음력) birthdays - a lunar date is converted with the Korean almanac. Nothing here leaves your browser; a reading receives only the eight characters.

Not in the list? Choose "Somewhere else", then enter the UTC offset the clock used at the birth and the town's longitude (on its Wikipedia page; Seoul is 126.98). Longitude moves only the solar time, about 4 minutes per degree.
